The new release ships its own TypeScript types and a modern `exports` map, which makes the long-standing `@ts-ignore`/`@ts-expect-error` suppressions on `@jitsi/js-utils` imports unnecessary and lets TS verify their usage end-to-end. To pick up the new types correctly: - Switch `tsconfig.{web,native}.json` to `moduleResolution: "Bundler"` so TS honors the package's `exports` field. Legacy `Node` resolution ignores `exports` and cannot resolve subpath imports like `@jitsi/js-utils/random`. - Remove the now-unused root-import `@ts-expect-error` directives across 7 files and the silent `@ts-ignore` directives on 14 subpath imports. Drop the paired `lines-around-comment` eslint-disable comments that only existed to silence the directive clutter. - Update `BaseApp._initStorage` with a narrow type assertion (and a comment) to acknowledge the RN-polyfill side channel where `jitsiLocalStorage.getItem('_initializing')` surfaces an AsyncStorage-loading Promise. The new package's types correctly describe the standard Web Storage shape (`string | null`); the cast preserves the runtime contract on RN. - Bump the `external_api` bundle size budget from 95 to 100 KiB to accommodate the slight per-file TS-compilation overhead in the new package layout.	3 weeks ago

When the XMPP connection fails and _onConnectionFailed fires, a Redux action propagates through middlewares, changing state so that isValidRoom becomes falsy — making _showJitsiWatermark = true. Handle the reload directly in _connectionFailed when no conference is found and the error is SHARD_CHANGED_ERROR.	1 month ago

Without this, remote participants could hear separate start sounds instead of a single combined one due to the two services resolving at different times. Introduces startRecordingIntent to track what the user requested from the dialog, and maybeNotifyRecordingStart to wait until all intended services have resolved before playing the appropriate sound. * fix(prosody): pass isRecordingRequested through metadata moderation filter The rayo filter was stripping isRecordingRequested from the recording metadata for JWT users with the transcription feature, causing remote participants to not know that recording was also intended alongside transcription. This led to premature transcription-only notifications instead of waiting for both services to resolve. * fix(recording): prevent autoCaptionOnTranscribe from overwriting recording intent When autoCaptionOnTranscribe enabled and a transcriber is started by someone else, we need to avoid overwriting their recording/transcription intent in room metadata. Added skipMetadataUpdate flag to setRequestingSubtitles to preserve the initiator's intent while still enabling auto-captions locally. * fix(recording): coordinate stop sound/notification across recording and transcription Mirror the start-side intent flow on the stop side: a stopRecordingIntent seeded from the stop dialog locally and from metadata true->false transitions on remote observers. When jitsiTrack.attach() fails (e.g. gum.general abort), retry up to 3 times with 1s delays instead of silently logging and calling play() on an unattached element. Only call play() after a successful attach. When play() retries are exhausted, detach and re-attach the track for one full recovery cycle. A reattach counter prevents infinite loops.	2 months ago

Room names with non-ASCII characters (e.g. ò) were double URL-encoded when appended as query parameters to websocket, conference-request, and keepalive URLs. getBackendSafeRoomName() returns a percent-encoded string which was then re-encoded by URLSearchParams.append() via appendURLParam(). Extract getNormalizedRoomName() that decodes, NFKC-normalizes, and lowercases without percent-encoding, and use it in the appendURLParam call sites. getBackendSafeRoomName() is refactored to call it internally, preserving identical behavior for all other callers.
