This PR aims for making the grammar file (syntax.y) for the LogQL syntax more readable and the AST and its expressions more consistent in naming. You could say these are cosmetics, and yes they are, but if they can help developers better and faster understand the code it's a win. Personally I found the grammar yacc file intimidating until I understood that it was way more complicated that it needed to be. Then building a binary or image release for an upcoming version from a release branch, we provide the version using `--build-arg IMAGE_TAG=...` in the Docker build step of the CI workflow ([ref](3df08bd39f/.github/workflows/minor-release-pr.yml (L456))). However, this argument was ignored in the Dockerfile and not further passed down to the `make ...` command inside build phase of the Dockerfile. Trevor Whitney	a064f5d670	feat: add release please config (#11333) ... **What this PR does / why we need it**: The new release process is being developed in another repo for now as it enables much faster feedback loops. We are at the stage where we are pulling the Loki repo and building images, so it's time to move the `release-please` config into Loki, and configure it for the various packages we will be releasing. This PR adds the two basic configs that `release-please` requires. This PR does not change anything about the release process, it just enables us to keep iterating out of band until we're ready to move over. **Which issue(s) this PR fixes**: Re #11332	1 year ago

Trevor Whitney	60340639cc	Add trivy filesystem scanning (#11462) ... **What this PR does / why we need it**: Adds trivy filesystem scanning to our Makefile and PR pipelines. This will scan the `go.mod` file for vulnerabilities in dependencies, which are sometimes missed by just scanning the image. PS @dannykopping this also adds the changes to the vulnerabilities output we talked about that should make it easier to identify a) where the vulnerability is (ie. docker image / os dep vs go.mod dep), and b) what version the dependency needs to be updated to in order to fix it.	1 year ago
