Kaviraj Kanagaraj	8721e41c6c	drone(docker-driver): Fetch tags before pushing image during release (#10664 ) What this PR does / why we need it: We realized, loki-docker-driver image was not being pushed after 2.8.2. And looking into it's drone pipeline and comparing it with other steps, docker-driver step is not fetching the tags,[ thus the final hash calculated to push is some HEAD branch.](https://github.com/grafana/loki/blob/main/tools/image-tag#L13-L14) e.g: even if we have tag 2.9.1, it pushes only with latest HEAD commit hash. Paul Rogers	794471b1eb	Fix fluentbit plugin for manifest step (#10399 ) What this PR does / why we need it: It appears that this commit (`d484d31856`) is causing a failure when on the manifest.manifest-fluent-bit step (2023/08/28 09:53:47 pushing by spec time="2023-08-28T09:53:47Z" level=fatal msg="Inspect of image \"grafana/fluent-bit:main-586b904-amd64\" failed with error: errors:\ndenied: requested access to the resource is denied\nunauthorized: authentication required\n" exit status 1). Subsequent investigation has shown that the grafana/fluent-bit docker repo does not exist. This PR is to change the manifest step to reference 'fluent-bit-plugin-loki' instead of 'fluent-bit'. The former is referenced for other steps in the Make process. I have also moved the boringcrypto canary ahead of the fluent-bit step to put the canaries next to each other, and to further help debug this step, should this change not be correct. Michel Hollands	d484d31856	Add support for cross arch for fluent-bit-plugin-loki image (#10081 ) Copied from https://github.com/grafana/loki/pull/9991 which has problems running CI. What this PR does / why we need it: Currently the `fluent-bit-plugin-loki` image is only build and published for amd64. With more use of arm-based processors, it would be good to add support for those as well. I've build the image using `docker buildx` on my M1 Mac and pushed it to Dockerhub, should you wish to try it first: https://hub.docker.com/r/ebosveld/fluent-bit-plugin-loki/ On AWS ECS Graviton based images it works well with the above mentioned image. I've also fixed #9932 as it needed the full bullseye support. Michel Hollands	fd31840d3c	Build gotestum, helm-docs and others on bullseye (#9919 ) helm-docs and gotestsum use a different libc version when built on the normal golang image so they have to be built on the bullseye image as well. Otherwise errors like these occur: ``` gotestsum: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.32' not found (required by gotestsum) gotestsum: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.34' not found (required by gotestsum) helm-docs: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.32' not found (required by helm-docs) helm-docs: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.34' not found (required by helm-docs) ``` Tested by running them manually in the new build image. --------- Signed-off-by: Michel Hollands <michel.hollands@grafana.com>	2 years ago
Michel Hollands	c530f404d6	Use Debian Bullseye (#9918 ) Debian Bookworm has a later version of the protobuf compiler which somehow causes the generated protobuf code to substitute `empty.Empty` with `emptypb.Empty` among others. Below is an example of the changes: ``` - WriteIndex(ctx context.Context, in WriteIndexRequest, opts ...grpc.CallOption) (empty.Empty, error) + WriteIndex(ctx context.Context, in WriteIndexRequest, opts ...grpc.CallOption) (emptypb.Empty, error) ``` These [changes](https://protobuf.dev/reference/go/faq/#modules) will happen at some time due to new google.golang.org/protobuf library. Travis Patterson	cc33749b73	fix integration test for multiple periods (#9782 ) The integration test is writing logs across two index periods but there's a chance that the log `lineB` is written after the beginning of the second period after it's added. This means we never get `lineB` in the results. This change pushes back the write time of the first logs so they're always stay in the first index period.	2 years ago
