Mathias Chapelain	e5ed1578c8	loki: Fix common config net interface name overwritten by ring common config (#5888 ) In the case where `instance_interface_names` is declared in the common configuration AND the common ring configuration is also present, `instance_interface_names` from common configuration is overwritten by default ring configuration for all ring components. This commit fix this issue by overwriting common ring net interface config IF it is deeply equal to the default one. Example: ``` common: instance_interface_names: - interface ring: kvstore: store: inmemory ``` Then, ``` Distributor.DistributorRing.InstanceInterfaceNames == defaults.Common.Ring.InstanceInterfaceNames ``` but should be ``` Distributor.DistributorRing.InstanceInterfaceNames == []string{"interface"} ```	3 years ago

Bryan Boreham	46b552def2	Makefile: run lint and tests with default garbage-collection (#5841 ) Setting GOGC=10 makes Go run garbage-collection every time the heap gets 10% bigger than it was before, which does keep the max size down but slows down memory-intensive operations. Since this was added for CircleCI, and we don't run those operations on CircleCI any more, remove the setting.	3 years ago

Christian Haudum	ece1fb5a34	Allow promtail to push RFC5424 formatted syslog messages (#5715 ) * Allow promtail to push RFC5424 formatted syslog messages This PR introduces a new flag `use_rfc5424_message` for syslog scrape targets, which allows to push the full [RFC5424](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc5424) formatted syslog message received by Promtail to be pushed to Loki, instead of only the message content. Storing the full message allows users to parse the message in Loki instead of relabelling in Promtail.
