Travis Patterson	db97058a84	Series volume endpoint (#9704 ) This changes the `label_volume` endpoint to the `series_volume` endpoint. The new endpoint still returns volumes but now it does it for the requested streams defined by the selector names passed rather than individual labels. A query for `{cluster=prod}` will return ``` cluster=prod: size (total logs matching this matcher) . . . nth-label=nth-value ``` This is to service use cases where users want to understand where their log volume has come from by label without making multiple requests to the stats endpoint. Ed Welch	2b66c6b126	Loki: add a 'since' query parameter for easier querying using relative time (#7964 ) Signed-off-by: Edward Welch <edward.welch@grafana.com> What this PR does / why we need it: logcli has a command line parameter called `since` which makes it easy to query logs relative to the current time, however this is some syntactic sugar used in logcli to calculate `start` and `end` query parameters for the query sent to Loki. This PR adds native support for a `since` query parameter to make it a little easier to consume the Loki query API without having to calculate precise start/end times with every request. This is useful if you are polling the Loki API from a third party app which doesn't let you easily build dynamic URL's and all you want to do is poll for say the last 3 hours of logs. Karsten Jeschkies	bd879498ad	Serialize query JSON response in a stream. (#7721 ) What this PR does / why we need it: Previously the query response was converted to `loghttp.ResultValue`. This requires a lot of allocations. Furthermore, the JSON response string was allocated before it was written to the response writer. This changes replaces the conversion from `parser.Value` to `loghttp.ResultValue` with a hand written JSON stream. That's a problem because although a "application/json; charset=utf-8" is considered a valid JSON content type, it will be seen as an error. * Use mime.ParseMediaType to parse contentType. - mime.ParseMediaType is more reliable than strings.Contains because if a wrong contentType (such as "application/jsonnn") is given, we still accept it - mime.ParseMediaType has support for contentType parameters. This way, valid contentTypes such as "application/json; charset=utf-8" will not be rejected * Add changelog entry. * Change body in test to avoid lint issues. - Without this change, the lint fails because gzipString would be called with always the same input. Cyril Tovena	070246c0a4	Uses custom json-iter decoder for log entries. (#3163 ) * Uses custom json-iter decoder for log entries. Previously we were using json.Unmarshal for each line. However json-iter uses a Pool for each calls and I believe this can cause to increase memory usage. For each line we would put in a pool the iterator to re-use it, once put in a pool, the last data is retained, since we handle millions of lines, this can cause problem, using a custom extensions, keep using a pool but at the root object only, not for each line. Since we are always checking against start inclusively and not end, this means this type of query will always returns no result.
