(#12726 ) What this PR does / why we need it: Split the gRPC client used by the querier into two, one for the communication with the scheduler, the other for communicating with the query-frontend. - This change is retrocompatible: you don't have to change anything to keep existing behavior. - To configure the custom scheduler grpc client, you can use the new `query_scheduler_grpc_client` config or the new CLI flag `querier.scheduler-grpc-client` - If you'd like to configure your frontend grpc client using a better named section, you can use the new `query_frontend_grpc_client` instead of the old `grpc_client_config`. Just make sure you don't use both at the same time, it will result in an error. This work is necessary for configuring custom behavior between `querier<->scheduler` vs `querier<->frontend`. A use case is configuring mTLS when a different certificate is used by queriers, schedulers and frontends. You can only configure a single `server_name` with our current setup, making it impossible.	2 years ago

Christian Haudum	d62d4e37d1	Bloom Gateway: Implement chunk filtering using workers that multiplex requests (#11181 ) This change adds an internal request queue to the bloom gateway. Instead of executing every single request individually, which involves resolving bloom blocks, downloading them if needed and executing the chunk filtering, requests are now enqueued to the internal, per-tenant queue. The queue implements the same shuffle sharding mechanism as the queue in the query scheduler component. Workers then dequeue a batch of requests for a single tenant and multiplex them into a single processing task for each day. (#11246 ) What this PR does / why we need it: Following https://github.com/grafana/loki/pull/11123 and in order to enable https://github.com/grafana/loki/pull/10417 the query frontend should send the serialized LogQL AST instead of the query string to the queriers. This enables the frontend to change the AST and inject expressions that are not expressible in LogQL. akhilanarayanan	3303844cb0	Refactored forGivenIngestors to use DoUntilQuorum instead of Do (#9984 ) This changes the forGivenIngestors function in pkg/querier/ingester_querier.go to use `DoUntilQuorum` (from [PR #293](https://github.com/grafana/dskit/pull/293)) instead of `Do`. `DoUntilQuorum` is much more efficient than `Do`.
