At least one of these ... is actively dangerous, per bug report from Ewald Geschwinde 14-May-02, and several of the rest look suspicious to me. Since there is no longer any significant value in retail pfree's in these functions, just get rid of all of them for safety's sake.	24 years ago

Implement abs(), mod(), fac() for the int8 data type. Rename some math functions to generic names: round(), sqrt(), cbrt(), pow(), etc. Rename NUMERIC power() function to pow(). Fix int2 factorial to calculate result in int4. Enhance the Oracle compatibility function translate() to work with string arguments (from Edwin Ramirez). DEC C doesn't handle double values greater than DBL_MAX, but some PostgreSQL geo functions assign greater than DBL_MAX values to some vars in some special cases - that couses SIGFPE.
